ANDREJ !!!
I suggest you Lake Garda between Verona and Brescia:
very nice place not far from important cities like Milan Bologna or Venice because it is exactly at the middle.

I disagree with what they have to say. Italy is amazing culturally. They also have one of the top 10 economies in the world with a very high standard of living. However, the north has a much greater standard of living than the south, so there is a bit of regional disparity. I think for a foreigner it would be very difficult to get a job.
Penso che Italia sta bella e rica con historia e denaro. Bellissima!

Italy still has a sense of family values.... though it's losing fast.
You'll find a strong sense of family the further south you go.
If you could land a job in the south (even Sicily) with a foreign company you would have a good standard of living. The cost of living is much less in the south than in the north.
If you are in the south and close to a major port city you'll easily find transit to all ports in the Mediterranean.
The north.... has its unemployment and the problems that brings.... It makes folks mean and bitter and racist. But the north also has the highest rate on employment in the country... and the further north you go the better access you'll have to the rest of Europe. Milan is the financial & fashion center of the country. This makes it a magnet for a varity of industries and therefore job opportunties.
Well, to sum things up - Both North & South has its pro & cons. It would be best if you already had employment before you go to Italy. It is very diffcicult to get a job if you aren't Italian or a citizen of one of the EU countries.

I love Italy and it is a beautiful place to be...but to work, i must tell you that there is somewhat of a crisis. if you chose to work there you must have a degree to get a good job, and be ready for long internships with no pay, and for the first few months of your job getting paid only a few hundred Euros..and be ready to pay ALOT of taxes...ok now to live, the people are great, but if your choose to live in a city the rent is HIGH, much more than you will be making at first, and buying an apartment is so so expensive. if you have the means to do all this then go for it, its a beautiful place to be.

Ciao. If you don't choose to live in Milano or Torino I think its not bad even if its a very old thinking country ;)
