I think Italy is awesome and I'm not Italian.

Me
Of course Italy is awesome :)

What person on this planet doesn't know at least something about Italy?
But there is more to Italy than just food, art, the AMAZING architecture and the incredible scenery. Italy consists of so many regions that are so different from each other - you would never believe they are part of the same country. This in terms of people's looks, but also temperament. It's amazing how different the dialects are - you wouldn't think it was the same language.
For me, it's the scenery that is most spectacular.
Sadly, the country has its share of problems. But it's a country a person HAS to visit at least once.

yes, you should visit Italy. After seeing hours of masterpieces you suffer from art overload.
I would suggest Florence if you can only see one city.

I think Italy is awesome too. It's a country of art. And art is always great.

I live in Italy in a region called Italian Riviera or also known as Liguria . It is a narrow region along the Mediterranean stretching between the French Côte D´Azur and Tuscany . It is really worth a visit , because of its many advantages : mild climate all year around , fascinating towns and villages , beautiful countryside and unbelievable good food - not to forget the Italians themselves who are really great people .
The capital of Liguria ( Italian Riviera) is Genova , a big harbor city , birth town of Cristoforo Colombo . There are other beautiful towns like San Remo , Bordighera or Imperia . This part of Italy is also known as the Riviera of flowers , because of its amazing vegetation , lots of palm trees , purple Bougainville and bright yellow Mimosa and Oleander in all kind of colors . Don´t visit in august though , that´s the peek season and the Riviera is pretty overcrowded . A good time to visit is Spring and early summer or September and October , the ocean is still warm and the crowds have left .
Inland , only a few km from the coast you can follow small and winding roads up into the Ligurian hills where you can visit charming villages and old castles , surrounded by hundreds of olive groves .
Liguria is worth a visit , but as said before by others here , there are many other beautiful regions too .You will need more than 1 visit !
