Is Italy okay to visit around Easter?

I am an American exchange student studying abroad in the UK for the semester. I am planning a trip for my two week Easter break and part of the trip will be in Italy. I will be in florence and then venice for the week before Easter. I will be flying out of Venice airport on Easter. I just want to make sure that its okay to visit Italy on/around Easter.

Yes, just crowded. Better looking in advance if there's seat on trains (especially on longer routes) and room in hotels still available, if you need them.
Extra trains are often added during holidays time, though.

Shannon
little more crowded that is all.
