Is June a good time to visit Italy?

June is rather a good time to visit Italy. As a rule is not too crowded and not extremely hot (especially if it's early June).
I guess 2 weeks are a reasonable period to visit the 3 cities but I should devote to Venice just 1 or maximum 2 days since that's enough to visit it. I would stay minimum 1 week in Rome and 4/5 days in Florence to visit the town and the Tuscany region. Trains in Italy are rather cheap and big towns are well connected. Distances are not too long and you can also use internight trains from Rome to Venice and vice versa to save time. As to the accomodations my suggestion is to use the Venere.com site.
After you select city and dates, you can sort by area of the city, price, guests ratings, and read reviews of specific places. http://en.venere.com/hotels_rome/#o=pric...

You could also lodge at a convent or monastery in Italy. These tend to be some of the best staying bargains available. In a few places a monastery stay may be even free. see: http://www.monasterystays.com/?show=page...

The best month. Less tourists, cheeper , and the weather is very confortable.

It is going to be REALLY crowded. If you can go in May, I would suggest it. There is "culture week" in May where admission to all museums and cultural stuff is free. That doesn't include the stuff in the Vatican, though, since it is its own country. Plus, Venice will be really stinky in the heat of June. Check out hostels.com for good deals on rooms. There aren't many hostels in Venice. You would be better off making that a day trip and staying somewhere like Verona.

I would suggest that you perhaps stay a little out side of the cities . You will find that the further from the cities you get the cheaper the accommodation. You will be hard pressed to find accommodation below EUR60 unless you rent an apartment or such like. The other alternative is to stay in youth hostels. Some are really not bad and they mostly let you stay regardless of your age.

June is a good time to visit... but make sure that you don't cram a million places on a short time. You better concentrate on a couple of cities and enjoy them better......

for cheaper accomodations try pensioni or hostels....

I'm Italian and I think that june It's the best time to visit Italy because the weather is very good but It isn't to hot

Better than going in July or August, definitely. But I'd still rather go in May or September... you'll find it FAR less crowded then, and the weather should still be pretty damned lovely. If you're going in June, I'd say the earlier, the better...
