Usually it's pretty good here in April. I live about an hour south of Garda lake. It can be cool here some days. Bring a light jacket or sweater - you'll need it at night if not during the day. It's also a good idea to have a small folding umbrella. It's not usually that rainy, but it can come in handy some days.

I visited Garda's Lake last April with my school, and I can tell u it's fantastic!!! So, you must visite Verona and Gardaland (the best amusement park in Italy!!! http://www.gardaland.it/en/home.php ) and if you visit Como's Lake you can see George Clooney's house!!!

Spring is the best time for visiting the north of italy because it's not cold like in winter and not hot like in summer.
