The roads on the Amalfi coast are very narrow and especially the local bus drivers, drive very fast ... but if you are careful and not afraid of oncoming traffic on your side of the road, it is easy enough to drive ...
I never had a problem |

I think it really all depends on your driving skills and your conficence level... driving on the Amalfi coast is not for the faint hearted.. lol..
lots of tight curves, fast driving and buses that take up whole curves (listen for the horns, they´ll honk them before they go around a curve and take up the whole street - when you hear it, stay where you are and wait for them to pass)
It is definitely worth the trip though as it is gorgous! I just got back from the area last night :-) |

It really isn't that difficult to drive the Amalfi Coast road, but it can be very exciting. It's certainly more thrilling than anything they have at Disney. I was there not long ago with a group of consultants; most of the passengers enjoyed the spectacular views, but one of them refused to open her eyes the whole time we were on the road due to the traffic. |

Basically what they said above, but when you say they drive on the wrong side of the road, that depends on where you are from. They drive on the same side of the road as the U.S.A. so... lol |
