Well the exchange rate from US dollars to Euros is about .73 Euros per 1 US dollar, so it will cost more to live in Florence than it would to live in the US, but I think it would be worth it. Florence is a very beautiful city with tons of history. The food is amazing and the people are very nice, not to mention the shopping is awesome. You would be living in the same city as Michelangelo's David! If you have money, I would go for it, and get ready to learn some Italian.

I went in Florence in a different time and i think it's not so expensive like U.K., but in the historic center every think like accomodation, food, drinks or fun is like London.....

yes. currently, the exchange rate with the euro is pretty ridiculous and going anywhere in europe is not going to be cheap. and living? thats even more expensive. you cant just up and leave to go live in florence. you have to do alot of paperwork and stuff. its not an easy or cheap process.
