Is it possible roundtrip train from Florence to Pisa is sold out on April 11? |
Trenitalia website does not show any available trains from Florence to Pisa. On the RailEurope website, there seems to be alot of availability. However, if you order through RailEurope, they require sending the paper tickets. In which I don't have time for.
What are my options? Are tickets really sold out?? |

The trenitalia site isn't telling you that the trains are sold out. It's just saying that you can't buy the tickets for the regional trains online. You can buy tickets for the intercity train that runs at 7:51 am. You don't need to buy tickets in advance; the ticket will be good for any regional train from Florence to Pisa over a two month period from the date of purchase. There are no reserved seats on these trains. Just buy a ticket at the station the day you want to go.
I take the trains almost every weekend and rarely buy tickets in advance (except during the Easter period - and even then not for the regional trains.) |

No, the tickets aren't sold out. You simply can't buy regional train tickets on line. But you can buy an Inter City ticket (they are more expensive) and you have to book it some days before.
It's easyer if you buy the ticket directly at the station and not On Line...
All the regional tickets from florence to pisa are valid for all the regional train (at any time) for 2 months. Remember to sign the ticket before going on train, the controllers are very severe and the sanctions are about 50 euro..
P.s: don't take an inter city train! The regional arrive almost at the same time and they cost less... |

I am Italian. (sorry for my English)
Florence and Pisa are to near city (102 Km), you don't need book a ticket. Every hour there is a train. |

I was in Italy last year, and Pisa and Florence are not THAT far away from each other. I'm going to say maybe about 30 minutes away. You can go to the train station and get your tickets. I can't imagine EVERY seat on the train is taken all day. When you get to Florence, first thing go buy your tickets to Pisa. Worst case scenario, you take a taxi, but seriously I think you will be able to get your tickets at the train station.
BTW if you get a chance, go to Venice. It's so awesome!! |

it is possible: the month of April is the month of the scholastic trips in Italy.
Ciao! |

Very possible since there are elections in Italy on April 13 and 14 and a lot of people go to their home towns to vote. Check www.trenitalia.com though, it's the official railway website. Florence and Pisa are not too far away from each other so you will most certainly find a seat on a regional train (cheap, frequent, and slow!). |

It's very simple. Just come here and find out by yourself! |

Why worry about trains ? It is only 18 miles / 23 Km. from Firenze to Pisa, and a taxi will get you there in no time. |
