Yes, it is possible: http://www.senabus.it/index_e.htm. There are a couple of buses per day, but the travel time is 8 or 9 hours with a change of bus in Siena.

It's better to take the train: http://www.ferroviedellostato.it/ferrovie/util/inglese.jsp

or to fly using one of the budget airlines flying between Milan and Rome. http://www.whichbudget.com/en/

Ryanair flies to Rome from the Bergamo airport (Orio al Serio) http://www.bookryanair.com/SkySales/FRSearch.aspx?culture=EN-GB&pos=SBFORM,

blu-express flies from Malpensa airport to Rome https://www.blu-express.com/cgi-bin/airkiosk/I7/181002i?BV=2&LANG=EN&LFF,

or Meridiana flies from Linate airport to Rome: http://www.meridiana.it/ig/pages/offerte/offerte_promo_results.aspx?APT1=LGW&APT2=FLR&LANGUAGE=EN&GROUP_CALENDAR=0&zanpid=1085190487314277376

I really suggest to take a train- I did myself and is a really nice ride, and both stations are really central.
