Certo!!!
Italy is formed by the peninsula and
2 great islands (Sicily and Sardinia) and
a series of other smaller islands.(Capri, Ischia,
Aeolian Islands, Pantelleria, Lampedusa, Ustica,
Egadi Islands, Ponza, Tremiti Islands, etc….)

"Italy" is the name of the entire Country, not of the peninsula, so who's saying Sicily is not *in* Italy because it's an island is not correct.
Sicily IS in Italy, simply not on *continental* Italy/Europe or "Italian peninsula".

Yes. But its spelled Sicily. It is considered part of Italy, some people refer to it as the island the boot is kicking.

It is considered a part of Italy, like Alaska and Hawaii are part of the United States.

It is not "in" Italy, it is an island that is directly southwest of the Italian peninsula.

crazyem
Sicily is a little island off the main land of Italy
