September is a great time to be here. The weather is great, not so hot as July and August. The crowds have thinned out. The Italian vacation period in August is over, so most places will be open. There are a number of interesting local festivals.

That's precisely the right time. It is not too hot nor too cold and the light is perfect to illuminate the wonderful sights. Venice, in particular, is perfect at that time of year. Buy tickets now!

Mmm
its a good time because of the weather and stuff
but there are so many people at that time.
its flooded with people.
all tourists.

i'm italian and september it's the perfect period
not too hot like in august, still warm, not so much rain
but july is wonderful too....
i'd like to specify that the 2 biggest island in italy are called
Sicilia (Sicily) and Sardegna (not sardinia :P)

flma73
YES!!! I went last September and it was perfect. I want to go back. The weather is amazing and it isn't humid. I love it. Next time I go it will be in September again!

Any time is a good time to visit Italy, ...I love it.

Yes it is, in near all Italy. Naturally better in the Centre, South and islands (Sicily and Sardinia), but even in the North there is good time still, some rain but summer again, and the start to the new colours of the Autumn. Not so hot and not cold at all.
