Yes, it's easy, once you know where the Metro stops are located.
Unfortunately the map provided by MetroRoma doesn't actually physically show where the stops are?! So you have to know Rome in order to be able to use the Metro! Not very tourist friendly.
I actually plotted the 2 Metro routes on a map of Central Rome showing the Metro stops and the Central Rome areas, so you can have a much better idea of where the Central Rome areas are in relation to the Metro. You can see it here http://www.romanlife-romeitaly.com/rome-metro.html you will also find more information and maps regarding the other Rome public transportation.
For a better idea of what the Areas of Central Rome have to offer (sights, transport, nightlife etc.) and if they will suit your requirements you can visit http://www.romanlife-romeitaly.com./rome-italy-map.html for a brief description, and also navigate to an areas dedicated page for a more detailed description. |

yes, it is. Roma has two line of metro: linea A and linea B. The main stop is TERMINI (the Termini station). From Termini, you can change line and visit any part of the city.^^
Linea A(Anagnina - Termini - Battistini)
Linea B(Laurentina - Termini - Rebibbia) |

I have never been, but from what I hear it is quite easy to navigate the subway. There are only 2 lines (3 if you count the one to the airport that doesn't make any stops for most of the trip). |

yes,it is really easy but it is always packed,im talking sardines,as long as you know where you are getting off its ok |

Nice marmot!

Its very easy to use because it only has two lines! Line A closes at about 9.30 ish at night and neither line goes near a large part of the centre (though line B does stop at the Coliseum and Line A close to the Spanish Steps). I was really shocked when I went with how little use it was going to be to me especially after cities like Rome, Paris, Berlin, Prague (where they have good systems and more than 2 lines) I did a lot of walking, take good shoes!
Both lines cross over at the main rail station so it is easy to go from one to the other. Here's a map http://www.rome.info/metro/ |

Well, there's, what? two lines? or have they added a third one? It takes them forever to tunnel under the city, because they keep hitting antiquities, and they decided to just treat it as an archaeological dig! Digging with toothpicks and paintbrushes...pretty slow going.
I was told not to even bother with the metro, and just go with surface transportation in Rome.
Here's a map...I guess there's some Metro that is above ground, so, more than there used to be. Doesn't look complicated at all!
Have fun!

It is very easy. I live in very rural East Texas and was able to navigate to get wherever I wanted to be. I would heavily suggest getting a map and buying a the multiple day tickets. Our hotel had one available or you can get it online. You can get tickets that are good for the subway and the buses both for several days and it allows you go get off and on anywhere anytime. You can get tickets from "Termini" or main terminal that is the main stop for both lines and where the trains come and go. |

Yes. Rome is very easy because there are only two subway lines. You will need a map so you will know how the underground relates to attractions above ground. I recommend this:
http://www.amazon.com/Streetwise-Rome-Map-Laminated-integrated/dp/1931257027
It's laminated and his a subway map. |

Very easy. I've never known a subway that was hard to navigate.
Buses are a bit tougher, but get a map and you'll be fine. |
