From right inside FCO Airport you get the train that goes to Roma Termini station. From there you'll find trains going to Firenze Santa Maria Novella or Firenze Campo di Marte Station.
Very easy! |

I have no idea of what bus services might be available from FCO, and nor do I know how to check out whether there is a direct service to Firenze. I suspect, however, that it's unlikely such a service does exist.
What I do know about is the "Leonardo Express": the express train service between FCO and Rome Termini station.
The first link below is the Trenitalia webpage describing the service.
It's frequent, fast and fairly cheap.
Once you get to Termini, you can get a direct train to Firenze S. M. Novella. From a quick search using the Trenitalia website search facility, it looks like trains leave every half hour or so and take about an hour and a half to get to Firenze. There may be faster or slower services; I didn't spend a lot of time checking.
The second link takes you to the journey search page. (BTW, searching for the trains I'd need to catch to get from Fiumicino to Firenze didn't work for me. It appears that you can only get search results for the connections between Roma and Firenze, the FCO to Termini bit you have to sort out yourself.) |
