there are 7 bells and a flag at the top.
the hallway/tunnel to the top is very narrow.
the whole thing, the tower and the two other buildings are surrounded by a wall for protection from invaders.
the original builder only built to the 4th floor and discovered it was crooked and quit. then the other guy finished it years later.
there is a great view into the PISA soccer stadium from the top.
you have to wait several hours for your turn to go up.
they will only allow about 20 people at a time to go up.
you cant take any bags including purses to the top with you. They must be deposited into lockers prior to your turn, then retrieved when you back down.
