Looking for the best way to get from Rome to Capri Italy?

When I go to Capri, I take the train from Rome to Naples. If I'm staying on Capri, I take a cab to the port (Molo Beverello) and take a hydrofoil from there to Capri. (16 euro; about 40 minutes) You can find a schedule here: http://www.capri.com/en/orari-traghetti

If I'm actually staying in Sorrento and just visiting Capri from there, I take the Circumvesuviana train from Naples to Sorrento - there are ferries from Sorrento to Capri. (9 to 12 euro; 20 to 40 minutes depending on whether you take a ferry or hydrofoil). Boat schedule from Sorrento to Capri: http://www.capri.com/en/orari-traghetti
Vesuviana train web site: http://www.vesuviana.it/

Note that ferry schedules are also available from the above links for boats between Capri and Positano or Capri and Ischia

Have a great time; Capri is beautiful!

By boat.

Drive to the Amalfi Coast. Or get there from some sort of transportation. And then get to Sorrento. From there you can take a boat(ferry) to Capri. They have a few different tours and things you can choose from. I went this past summer and it was very beautiful. Although be warned, in the summer months it is very, very packed with tourists.

if you have the chance to get a car i suggest to get the motorway 'till naples. than u must take the ferry!
