That's depending on how much time you'll remain in Milano, so I can give you some better places. First the Duomo, in the centre of the city, it's our ancient cathedral, second the Castello Sforzesco (Sforzesco Castle) that is full of museums, Archaeological, Egyptian, Musical Instruments and others. La Scala, the concert hall, the Basilica di San Lorenzo, the Romanic church of Sant'Ambrogio, etc. But you'll find more on a guide book, easily found everywhere (overall at a 'edicola', normally a little 'gazebo' selling magazines). About restaurants, 'trattorie', 'pizzerie', you can easily find in near every street in the centre, even for shopping the centre is good but much expensive. A little visit at the stores of 'via Montenapoleone' and 'via Bigli', (via is street), a nice and tasty 'gelato' (ice-cream), and you can find some relax in the green of (ex)Zoological Park or Sempione Park (behind 'Sforzesco Castle').
About trains to Genova, they depend on what train you'll get, but normally it's 2 to 3 hours. You can book your tickets from where you are now (I suppose) checking out this site:
http://www.trenitalia.it
On the top/right of the first page you can choose 'English' as the main language. Ciao and wishes. |
