Go to Sicily - fall & or spring on the coast or inland. Sicily is the California of the Medeterrean.

Maria Fontaneda
Tuscany or Como lake.

Most romantic part of Italy would have to be Rome... that's where there are the most Romans and roman-tic things...

Other than that, I've heard that Tuscany is wonderful.

Varese, my city! It's near Milan =)

I agree with strange93 varese north of Milan is beautiful with its park, Lake como is nearby and switzerland is 20 minutes by car. Shopping there is wonderful also as I remember from visiting My mom's home town area

Venice is known to be the most romantic city in Italy...it is a little touristy in the summer, but if you go in the fall or spring it should be gorgeous.

Donna Lee
Venice, without a doubt! A gondola ride with your sweetie can't be beat. :)

Autumn or Spring would be the best time to visit to avoid a lot of tourists. There are also no cars in Venice so you walk or take a boat everywhere - definitely a plus for couples. St. Mark's Square is particularly fun at night. Enjoy! :)

i'm italian from turin..
turin isnt a very well known city as milan or rome, but is however a beautiful and romantic city.. there is an hill, and on the top there is a wonderful romantic cafe'.. and then, from there, you can see all turin by night, and believe me, is one of the most romantic place of the whole italy... if you're lucky you can even meet a night with the "full moon"..
ciao!

Hi, I'm from Venice, and is a beautiful beautiful and romantic city, is fantastic, really. Rome is fantastic and romantic too, it's so pretty, nice. Rome is Rome, is the city of the Romans, a special person. At Rome there are colloseum, the sea it's not far, there are some beautiful monuments.
Venice is the city of the lover...

Bye, Sorry, my english it's so bad,

Cinque Terra! It is beautiful! The water, the mountains. Seems like it is usually forgot about when people name places to see in Italy! I lived there for 2 years and this is one of the most beautiful places. Also Portofino. Or Verona, where you can go see the the balcony of Romeo and Juliette. Rome, Venice, and Florence are filled with tourists. Though I love Venice!

My cat Jake owns me
We honeymooned in Italy last month, and stayed in the Bardolino/Lake Garda area.
