teeny

My boyfriend and I want to spend 3-4 weeks in Italy at the beach this summer...cheap! HOW and WHERE!?!?!?

We are young and on a budget. We live in Paris and would swap places with someone. We don't need 'posh' or nightlife- we need SUN, and relaxation. We aren't picky about where...just THE BEACH!

Hey, how is it in Paris? Serious. I do want to travel there in the new year? Could you give me some tips on where to go and where to stay on a budget too. My daughter and I will be traveling together.

I live in a fantastic place, with beaches, but it is in Ontario, Canada and we have rivers with beaches, not ocean. Lots of bush here, but beautiful. Heavenly in fact.

Please tell me lots about Paris and where you live and the best time to visit Paris. I do not speak French, so will this be a problem? My family originally came from 'Ault' France---on the seaside.

Thanks,Ava Ault

Here is what I know, most places have somewhat affordable accomodations in Sicily, However I would stay on the west coast near Catania, Palermo is a DUMP! Lipari is great for staying and its a small island so very relaxing. I stayed there for a week at a campground. If you have a huge tent its not that bad. IT was right across the street from the beach and no problems. If thats not for you, I would reccomend looking for a vacation rental near catania, or fontana Bianaca (Siracusa) They have some good stuff and its pretty relaxing. I have a house just north of Catania but it is a little ways from the beach, and you need a car. I would look either on the islands like I mentioned, or south west near siracusa. Another choice is Tunisia, its in Africa but cheap and has nice beaches. Also lots of sun and about 50 c in the summer.

Most Italians move TO their beach houses in the summer, not FROM their beach houses, so it may be hard to find a house exchange. I'm going to link to a good home-exchange company below.

The other thing you could consider doing is looking for bar work in a beach resort like Rimini or somewhere in the Cinque Terre. That way you could make some extra money while staying in a cheap hotel or rented apartment.

you will find yourself satisfied in Pesaro, contact the tourism agency, just avoid Hotel Vienna. I can suggest Hotel sporting, ask for Mr. Franco and tell him i suggested you the place . They have swimming pool, they are on the beach, very kind, clean and good food.
