All you really did was go on vacation which isn't a crime.
if you upset him then you should talk to him.

I don't think we're quite hearing the whole story here, unless he's an absolute control freak, in which, if he is I would advise breaking up with him anyway, he must have some suspision that something went on while you were in Italy. If you went with someone else, has he spoken to them, or, did you go with a male "friend" he may suspect, even though it could be totally innocent?

I think this question should really be in the relationships section but...OK!
I dont see what the problem is. You didnt do anything wrong, your bf is acting like a jerk. I can understand if he was a little upset coz you didnt say anything to him, but it's not worth breaking up with you over!! He's dead weight, ditch him hun!

Look if he disappeared for three weeks without telling you where he was you'd probably be a little ticked off as well.

What you have to ask yourself is why did you decide to go to Italy without telling him. There is your issue. Almost no matter what the reason it indicates that he or you or both of you are not really in the relationship.

Time to move on a find someone who you would want to go to Italy with - or at the very least who you could tell in advance you were going and share the excitement if not the trip.
