Nice, budget-friendly places to stay in Pisa, Italy?
Doesn't need to be fancy, more looking for something that is clean and well located to see the sights in the area.
Pesonally I don't think it is worth staying overnight in Pisa, the only things to see are the Cathedral and the Tower, which can be done in an hour or less. The town itself is rather plain and boring. Better to stop there on the way to somewhere else more interesting -- Lucca or Siena for example.

Prices will depend on when you're there and what you consider budget friendly. http://en.venere.com/italy/ is a reliable source for hotel reservations here in Italy. I use them frequently and have even found a hotel within 2 minutes of Piazza San Marco in Venice during Carnevale two days before I went. You can choose hotels off a map to guarantee you're close to where you want to be.
If you're going to be there more than a day, I would recommend staying somewhere close to the central train station - it's only a 20 to 25 minute walk to the leaning tower from there. It will be generally less expensive that the places closer to the tower and provides easy access to trains to visit Lucca, San Gimignano (train to Poggi Bonsi, then a bus), or Siena.
