I'm planning to live 6 months in Europe as soon as I graduate from high school to learn either French or Italian. Should I choose Paris or Florence? where will I have more fun? what's the best choice??

HOnestly, i think French is a more important language to learn, because French is the second largest Business language, and the only place i ever speak Italian fluently is, well Italy. But to live for 5 months, i would pick Florence. THere is so much to do there, and is only an hour train ride to a lot of major Italian cities.

I love my airman<3
paris
so much more to do
more variety

Florence is a much smaller, more intimate city than Paris. I would think either would offer incredible opportunities -- it really depends on what you hope to accomplish other than learning the language.

Paris, more to do and the people are freindlier, in fact they try to help so much that sometime they become a nuisance. Stay out of the tourist districts and the cost is comparable.

In Italy, they have a culture of trying to overcharge or steal from foreigners. Everyone from the restaurant proprietor to the ticket sales man in the train station will try to steal from you by overcharging.
