Permesso di Soggiorno?

Does anyone have any idea how the new procedure on the Italian Permesso di Soggiorno works in Milan? Instead of going to the questura we are now supposed to go to the postal offices. If anyone has more information on this, please let me know! Thank you very much.

Look here http://www.portaleimmigrazione.it/ for all the info you need (including the new procedure); if you like another language, choose the one you prefer bottom left, then click on "Ricerca".

You are supposed to prepare a copy of your passport (completed with all pages) and you have to fill a form. You can get all these information from a post office. Here you have to demand the "kit permesso di soggiorno". attention not all post offices have the Kit but only the major for each town. be patient. ciao mike

Yeah, getting a permesso di soggiorno in Italy is a real pain in the neck. I heard that now you pretty much have to order the forms from the post office and then turn them in at the questura. I'm not completely sure though, because the system has changed since we got ours. I might add some more details in a couple of hours.
