Errrm "It's by Italy" or "It's in Italy"..? As others pointed out, the name most likely starts with C if it's in Italy, but if it's "by" Italy - it could well be Corsica. Corsica is part of France, located in the Mediterranean sea just to the north of Sardinia (which is part of Italy).

Italian is a beautiful and very musical language. Pronounciation is not tricky once you know the sounds of the alphabets, there's no hidden tricks to them (e.g. unlike French where you don't pronounce most S at the end of a word but if the following word starts with a vowel then you may have to pronounce that last S etc). There are plenty of grammatical rules but for basic Italian is relatively straight forward.

In Corsica, well they speak French, and Corsican which is similar-ish to Italian but is not Italian. Quite quirky and I've never tried learning that so I don't know if it's easy to learn it.

Note that both French and Italian are Latin-based languages, so knowing one is a huge advantage and stepping stone to learning the other.

that may be difficult as the letter K doesn't exist in the italian alphabet.

a hard c or k sound is made with the letter c without an i or e after it or adding a ch before an i or and e

for example

La Chiesa - The Church... Chiesa is pronounced with a hard c
Capisco - I understand ... again hard c
Ciao - hello like a ch in english, like the word church....

Is it either Klagenfurt or Knittelfeld? Both places are in Austria, near the Italian border. I do not know if it is hard to learn Italian as a language. I have heard that people who are fluent in French or know it well generally have an easy time picking up the Italian language. If you are hearing the language very often and trying to speak it, you should learn it quite quickly, I think.

I tried to find out on internet but could not find place with K. You can find lots of places starting with C.
