 Is FIUMICINO, ROME far from florence?
I am moving to florence but the cheapest flight lands in rome. Is it far for me to get a train to florence?

Places to visit in florence?

I am making a short 6 hrs stop (thanks to my very tight schedule) at florence on my way from pisa to venice. What is the best place to visit in that short period of time.

geez, i wish you had more time!! if you only got to pick one thing, climb up all the steps inside the duomo to see the art on the dome and to get the view of all of florence when you get to the top. itll be the best part of your 6 hours there. and then climb back down for some gelato. :)

having just returned from Florence last week I would suggest the Duomo and then stop in the Piazza della Signoria and see the replica of the statue of David, Medusa statue and Neptune while eating gelato and people watching. You can also take a quick walk to the Ponte Vecchia...all these are within easy walking distance of each other and you could see all in 6 hours.
