Hi Roberta, I only came into the Italy /Naples section, I am interested in coming back for another fact finding vacation. I would be pleased and honoured to help where I can. I can only return the generosity that was displayed to me on my last fantastic trip.

1. I found it wonderful.

2. I enjoyed the country folk, the rustic nature of life, and best of all the rustic home cuisine. I was very sad to leave my newly made Amici. I would have loved to stay longer.

3. Naples it's self from what little I saw, wonderfull again.

4. Roberta, what i was told about Naples before I left gave ne bad vibes when we went through there. We made a couple of stops, Pino, would not let me go through Naples, without having Un Espresso, e un Pizza Napolitana di forno, i think I that is right, but you will correct me I guess.

6. Oh good god yes, without hesitation.

7. Umm this question is not quite clear, but I will answer in a way I think the question sounds to be.

I would want to stay longer not right in the center, but just out of the city. I want to explore, and learn recipes, not just normal recipes, but real rustic. Like to sit with the locals have a vino, or an espresso with them. Because now I realize what I actually missed out on, because of missguided uneducated comments about Naples.

i use to think it was wonderful now i think it is still wonderful and pretty and amazingly beautiful!

I'm an Italian American who returns to Italy once or twice a year. Hope these help.

1) It was once a beautiful port city. Now, nothing special with regards to the city itself because of a deteriorating infrastructure.

2) Strikes (Garbage Strike for example) and crimes against tourists.

3) It was a nice city I would spend a day and night in town before boarding the ferry to Palermo.

4) Increase in Crime and the filthy conditions founds in some areas of the city.

5) Family, Newspaper, Internet and Television

6) Not currently. I now board the ferry from Civitavecchia to avoid Naples.

7) Improve the image of a city plagued by labor disputes and crime.

2. When I visited, I thought it was very crowded. It was interesting, but I was afraid of the crime. We could not park where we wanted to because the gangs wanted money for our bus to park there so we had to walk.

4. I was excited to go there and see the beautiful sights. I had heard that this was a beautiful place for vacations. My opinion changed when I went there.

6. I would still visit Naples because of the culture there of the anciant Romans. In fact, I am coming this summer to Capri, Pompeii, and Sorrento.
7. (One way to answer your question - "measures" is unclear). I will be very careful and stay with my group. I know that there are good people everywhere, and I will look for that when I am there. I think for the measures the people there need to take, they should keep their neighborhoods clean and not tolerate corrupt politicians. I don't think there is an easy answer!
