Questions about Rome? |
My family is going to Rome for spring break, and I have a few questions. What is the weather like there? I'm only a teen, will there be any shopping there that would fit my interests (without being really expensive)? Thanks! |

The weather is going to be nice... Think San Diego in the Spring.
There are so many places to shop - you are going to have trouble *NOT* spending your money. |

well right now we are approaching spring which means there the weather its literally perfect, just bring a light jacket, in case the weather gets weird (u never know) and a light sweater for the nights, thats when its kind of cool. Shopping is good anywhere, TERRANOVA, its a great store for teenage girls..also la rinascente and upim are good, they are like the nordstroms and jcpenney's of italy, just better. |

The weather can be awful, or can be nice, see the link for statistics, you can discount only snow. Teen going from 13 to 19 is quite a large span, but the shopping that is worth doing is expensive.
Don't forget to go for a supper at the Portico d'Ottavia. In January my wife and me were there and was very good, avoid 'Il Cuppolone" near San Pietro. we went and were not satisfied. Good prices and service is in Trastevere. |

Zara is a French store you can find near the Trevi Fountain...It is a few blocks away from the super fancy stores but you will still be able to find cool European fashions there for a reasonable price. You may also want to try the shops in the train station (I know that sounds weird but underground they have a mini mall with reasonably priced clothing). Also, if you want to find some really good deals you should check out the flee market at Porta Portese! In addition to getting good deals, the outdoor market at Porta Portese is a typical Italian experience and has been going on forever! Im 90% sure its every Sunday but you might want to look it up. Take the metro and get off at Piramide...after that anyone will be able to give you directions. ;) Have fun! |

I'm going to Italy over spring break too! I heard it was going to be around 70 degrees in Rome and I've heard that clothes there are pretty expensive, but you can probably find a lot of souvenir type places that aren't as expensive.
Have fun! |

spring break is when tho, next few weeks? It should warm- doesnt get hot for a while yet. in july its 100degrees.
Dont expect to shop. the nice shops are REALLY expensive. the rest H&M, diesel, miss sixty etc are nothing special and you can probly get it at home
Its a great city, Probably my favourite after paris - but thats just cos i speak french not italian |
