Me

Recommend a beach in Italy

I'm going to Italy with my friends next month:) We are planning to spend one week visiting Venice, Rome, Florence and the other week we wanna spend on the beach. I'm looking for a picturesque place with mountains and beautiful beach. Tropea seemed to be a perfect choice for us. But than I read that is not very safe over there. Like the crime level is higher than in Northern Italy. What place would you recommend? Don't name Sardinia or other islands - we are not going there. And one more thing, we are not looking for glamorous resorts. We wanna see real Italy with it's beautiful traditions:)

I am also Italian and I must say that Sardinia is beautiful (just come from Sardinia, is glamorous only in the north, where port deer, but I do not believe that there interests .. sea anyway as I consglierei the same sardegna, the most beautiful beaches even california, and no joke! not let illusions by seas of others, do not have a much ... the only beach that is not in Sardinia but is beautiful nonetheless is rimini ... there c 'is the coastal area more equipped we are. addition, the Italian traditions vary from region to region. I wish you a pleasant journey and I hope that both come to Sardinia, I give you some names of places where you can enjoy day and night, you Americans are motlo appreciated, especially from me.
