Rent a car in Italy and drive it to Croatia?

I will arive in Venice (Marco Polo Airport, Venezia) and want to rent a car to drive it to Croatia. Anyone knows a car rental company that allows that in Venice? I heard Avis, Europcar, Maggiore and Sixt allow international travel with their cars, but I want to find a good price.

Thanks!

I think you can use Auto Europe. They have offices in Venice and in Croatia as well as countries all over Europe.

Hope this helps

if you fly to and from Venice, there is no problem. The car you hire is equipped with full documentation required to go abroad. In this case, you need what we call "Green card" (carta verde). It is a green colour paper that you can be asked while travelling in a car from Italy to a foreign country. if you want to be accurate, check in that paper the list of coutries you're allowed to. Croatia will be included for sure. Then you can drop your car off in Venice, right?
The prices of one or the other company are more or less the same, as they are in concurrence and their offices are one close to the other. You may try to ask a couple of prices, when you are there. Or try in the respective site. Consider that the price they show always rises of a 60% at least. There's always something that was not included in the first price. I had to complain last time I rented a car (in June) but they told me that this is the way it works.

Unfortunately everything in Venice and around it is expensive, i would suggest tou to check a little further. I heard europacar is one of the cheapest but you can try to check this http://car-rental.traveleurope.it/autonoleggio/italia/venezia/
Driving to croatia will be wonderful! Great places!

You need to shop for the best price. Maybe you'll get a good deal with you credit card company. All you've mentioned have competitive prices. You may even land a good deal via the air lines you fly in on.
