Rome - how much do taxi's cost? |
Hiya, anybody know how much they charge for taxi's in rome/how you would get one. Is it like in london where you can just pull one over or call one up? Is it per mile/per minute? Anybody give me an estimation of cost? Thanks! :) xx |

Hi there.
prices are reasonable and based on distance, cheaper than London, BUT agree the price before moving off - far too many ripoff merchants driving cabs there these days. And yes, you find them at ranks and can wave them down if you want.
But it is a small city centre, wonderful to walk around, well served by VERY cheap trains, trams and buses, taxis can be avoided if you like.

Yes its pretty similar to London.....HOWEVER, Much more expensive! Rome itself is so so expensive, the cabs won't be any different! Believe me!! |
