Definately. If you can afford to have two houses and afford the travel and expenses involved. Just check out all the expenses that will be involved, if you can afford it, do it.
The way I look at it is like this. You cannot take your money with you when you go. So you might as well enjoy it while you can. Italy is great and if you want to spend 2 to 4 months there a year, it would be a great choice.
Also, look into other options that may be useful. Is there any other way that may be less expensive to stay there for 2 to 4 months out of the year. Since you won't be using the house most of the year, you could try and rent it out during the rest of the year, or see if can get someone that will help you do this. That way the house won't sit empty for such a long period of time and you won't have to pay for the upkeep and everything while you aren't there.
Hope this helps. Good luck! |

I would grab if it you could afford it! By any chance is it near Naples? Capri? If so, you are going to be living in some of the most beautiful land in the world! My question is.........can I come visit?? :) |

Is this a rhetorical question? Is the Pope Catholic? If I had the money, I'd gladly be your neighbor. |

Ciao! I just got back from Italy on Friday...Obviously I don't know your situation, but I agree...if you can afford a beachfront home, definitely do it! It sounds wonderful! |

Yes, I belive you should..
If I can give you advice, buy one in the south. Not near the adriatic sea. The adriatic is muddy and horrible. Try the meditereranean :) |
