Taormina is probably the best resort on the island of Sicily. Situated in the shadow of Mount Etna, it has an untouched feel and gorgeous views...we went there a few years ago and will be going again. Highly recommended, but start saving those pennies...

Hi John! I'm Italian (I don't live exactly in Sicily anyway)
and two summers ago I went to San Vito lo Capo (it's in the extreme north west of the island, near Trapani) and, I can assure you, it was the BEST holiday of my entire life...you can't miss it!!!
The town is wonderful...colour, warmth, not messy, typical food....
The sea is fantastic! You will not believe you are bathing in THAT WATER....!!!
You won't regret this holiday....never!!
