Sicily - How to find a less crowded beach in summer?
Hello!!
We are travelling to Sicily on our honeymoon trip in late July. We are planning to rent a car and stay for 2 weeks. We'd like to see the sights but also to spend some time on the beach and relax.
Can anyone please help us with names and locations of less crowded beaches?
Thanks.
August is the worst month to visit Sicily. Everyone in Italy takes off the month of August and goes to the beach. There is a nice beach down from Catania but before Ragusa called Lido Fontane Bianche, it costs to go in but the beach is very clean and the water is nice and clear. They have chairs and umbrellas and little cabanas. On the other side of Sicily is a resort called Citta Del Mare which is run like a Sandals resort, all inclusive. You could check into that. We enjoyed it. and didn't have to worry about where to eat. Lots of pools and the ocean too.
