Small towns in Northern Italy.?

I would love to visit a non tourist town or village for a holiday . Not to far from an airport, and maybe the prospect of buying an apartment there.
I love Italy and its culture, as I have been there several time but to the tourist spots, Lake Como, Lake Garda, Milan, etc
Where I would like is a quaint village or small town, lots of scenery.

Thanks.

I come from Northern Italy and I can tell you that there are thousands of small towns where you can go to and purchase a house.
If you like beautiful scenery, I would suggest somewhere in the mountains. From Valle d'Aosta to Friuli Venezia Giulia you are spoilt for choice.

Why don't you have a look yourself in, like, Google Earth, so at least you can exclude some places in favour of others... And then ask more specific questions on the places you have chosen.

Having said that, I'm bringing grist to my mill and I suggest you to have a look in Trentino. Beautiful scenery, breathtaking mountains, peace and quite.
A bit far from airports though :(

Treviso (the airport is 5 mins from the city centre)

Bormio, if you like the Alps, but is very far from airports.

Where the Isla meets the Tay.

Try Perugia in Umbria. It's stunning.

Cavriago is a very small city and it's near Reggio Emilia. Here you will enjoy your stay as you are nature lover. Apartments are easily available for rent or for purchase.

you can visit bergamo city and a part of this known as città alta, a beautiful and romantic place, the airport is orio al serio (ryanair). If you want you can visit others cities like como or garda because bergamo is near to.
