Think my partners taking me to florence for my birthday?
as a surprise. Ive always wanted to go to Italy, what it like in November? Is there many flea markets etc? What could we do in a weekend? Is it expensive? Ive got a sneaky feeling he is going to propose... Im so excited!
I'm italian from florence..In florence is quite cloudy and rainy but in these days the weather is really strange..You could see the center..I suggest you to go to a really good osteria ,not expensive and it's not a tourist site:Osteria De' Benci or Zaza' near San Lorenzo..
You must go to Piazza Michelangelo by night it is a rrealy romantic place..then if you like art etc you can go at The Duomo or at The Accademia in via de servi..If you want to go to The Uffizi be sure to book before because is so full of people!
In november it's less expensive than September or June so be sure to get the right hotel and don't go to tourist's Restaurants!

I was just in Florence for my honeymoon! Absolutely loved it!! There were a lot of 'street markets' and tiny shops. Leather is a big commodity over there, so if that's your type of thing, it's everywhere! Not sure how long you'll be staying there or anything, but Pisa is not too far from Florence, and you could take in the Leaning Tower and the Field of Miracles.

Ahhh! How sweet. I hope you're right! Enjoy! It'll be cold so wrap up and enjoy all the hot chocolate. As to what to do it depends where in Florence you go.
