Thinking of going to Sardinia in mid April. What will it be like?

Will sort of temperature will it be? Will the sea be warm enough to swim in? Is everything open and transport running in mid April?

The water was cold even in a wet suit.
Weather wise, could well be warm, if the sun is out, but the evenings can be nippy. And the early morning can also have a cool onshore breeze.

April is going to be warm enough to sun bath if you are protected from the wind. The water will however be too cold to swim.
The great thing about Sardinia is that you will have plenty of alternatives to the beach. There are great places to visit inland and if you are into hiking, Sardinia offers some great hikes too (ask the locals!).

All the transport and tourist infrastructure will already be running.

Enjoy!

I went to Sardinia in early May last year and whilst some days it was warm enough to sit in the sun in your bikini - it was defintately not warm enough to go swimming. Pack some thing warm for the evenings too, as it can still get quite cool.

It's usually nice in April, i.e. last year I went swimming on the 25 and it was so hot and also were not to many tourists and so the beaches were not crouded; anyway the weather in march/april can be really changeable and so it's also possible to find rain. About shops, restaurants and touristic stuff it would be everything open in the main touristic places (such as Alghero or in Costa Smeralda)
