I LOVE Venice! I'll be in Italy myself from late May to mid-June, and Venice is the only town that I've been to before that's on my itinerary. It's so romantic and special - you'll love it! |

Venice is magic. I've been there 4 times. You can visit it on foot. the ferry ticket is a bit expensive (5€ one way). you should see the centre, the area near the train station and the 3 islands (murano, burano and torcelli). Enjoy in Venice ;-) |

Went there last year - thoroughly enjoyed it
don't forget to take a thin shawl / pashmina or something similar if you are going into any of the churches with your arms bare. |

I thought Venice was beautiful, although very hot and crowded. Be prepared for lots of tourists. |

Venice is fabulous, but in summer absolutely overcrowded! During spring or early autumn it's more enjoyable, trust an italian man! |

Venice is very nice. The city is more for tourism. In the summer there will be full of tourists as well as college students from everywhere. Check out some of the countrysides like the tuscan region. |

I've been there twice and I'd like to go once again. It's very beautiful city with it's own special climate. I loved it! |

It is such a fantastic city. I go at least two or three times a year. Even Venetian prices, which make mainland Italians weak at the knees, are a lot less than the equivelent in London.
A one trip ticket on the underground, when bought for cash, is now more expensive than the same journey on the vaporetto. |

Venice is beautiful beyond belief! Venice in summer is hot and has oodles of atmosphere because of the heat, but the crowds are enormous.
If you must go in summer, stay around the back streets and side canals. Not many people there. Go to the main sights in the early morning (San Marco, Doges' Palace), before the day trippers arrive. |

It is a very beautiful place, but but don't use the cafes and bar's in the main tourist areas eg St Mark Square as they are VERY expensive. Go to the quieter area's. While you are in that area take a trip to Verona It is also a beautiful city. |

If you are going just to venice then drop the idea.
I think it is an exaggeration that its beautiful
The water is so dirty there, and the city is based on water so you can imagine the rest. Shabby city.
But if you are going to italy then you can drop into venice for 1-2 nights
hope this sincere advice helps |
