Hiya, anybody know how much they charge for taxi's in rome/how you would get one. Is it like in london where you can just pull one over or call one up? Is it per mile/per minute? Anybody give me ...
I just think its a beautiful country and it would seem wonderful to live there. Where should I start on getting ready to live there? Additional Details I've never even been there ...
I am going to Rome for 3 days at the start of October/ Can anyone suggest a good hotel in the Historical Centre that won't cost me more than 70 pounds / 100 Euros a night please?...
Does anyone know where I can find an Italian train schedule? I tried the Tren Italia Website, but you can only search by specific dates/times to see if there is a match. I need a complete schedule.
The official website of the Italian railways is:
http://www.trenitalia.com

Adding on the above mention comments...
Trenitalia publishes a book with train schedules. However, the main schedule book is the size of a large phone book. On top of that, you would need to buy the schedules for the regional train systems such as the ferrovia del sud est.
Unless you really need a printed schedule, I would stick to the website.

Complete rail schedules are rare to find online. Thomas Cook publishes a book with all rail schedules but it's a physical book.
Generally speaking, if you put in the city pairs and a date (Like a random tues or weds) it will tell you all the train times and you can click through the day to get more. That should be representative of the daily schedule. I'd also plug in a Saturday and Sunday as well as the times may differ.
If you happen to find any such website, it'd be interesting to see. I think a train schedule for all of Trenitalia would be massive. Given the different types of trains, all the cities and the extensive rail system, I can't imagine how a published schedule would be very easy to review online.
