When you arrive in APT Leonardo da Vinci you will have many way to go To Vatican Area

1) Taxy (abt 40) euro
2) Bus (very long)
3) train (the best)

The Train Station is inside the airport. When you arrive you can choose 2 way

1) Faster and more expensive. Take train Leonardo express (12 euro) it arrive direct to Termini station, without stop. It pass every 30 min.At Termini you take Metro A till Ottaviano Station or Musei Vaticani (it depends where exactly u have to go) for abt 1 euro.
2) Longer but cheaper. Take train Normal, you stop at Tiburtina (5 euro). You take Metro B till Termini. Than you change in metro A till Ottaviano Station or Musei Vaticani , always 1 euro for both metro...

Here is the link to help you

I would advise you to take the taxi from the airport. It will be faster. It is about 40 or 50 Euro. However, it will be the best way and less stressful.

Go outside where the taxis are and stand in line and wait your turn. DO NOT GO WITH JUST ANYONE... WAIT IN LINE UNTIL IT IS YOUR TURN.

Be sure to have the NAME, ADDRESS AND NUMBER of your hotel written on a piece of paper so they understand you and know exactly where to go.

hi i'm italian and i live in rome. from daVinci airport to termini station there are train more frequently. for arrive to vatican you need go with undergroud ( line B)......there is a station near the vatican....the tickets cost 1€.

If you want to go cheaply I would suggest you get the train from the airport to TERMINI. It's about 12 euros one way.

Once you get to TERMINI you can take the metro LINE A heading towards BATITSTINI.... get off at the stop named CIPRO which is the stop near by the vatican museums. The ticket for one way is 1 euro.

Make sure to have all you your info printed and if you get lost many are very kind and helpful and in Rome it is very easy to find some one who speaks english.

Happy Travels!
