Travelling to Italy?

I'm going to Italy. We're probably gonna spend 3 nights in Rome, 2 nights in Florence, and a full day in Venice. Do you think it's enough time to discover? I actually want to spend a little bit more time in Venice, but it's pretty hard to find a hotel which price is less than 150 euro.

Do you have any suggestions? What can I do for 2 days in Florence?

Thanks

Florence is pretty compact and easy to get around in. With two days, you should be able to cover the major sites if you make reservations for the Uffizi and Accademia rather than waiting in line. I went to Florence yesterday for lunch and spent the morning revisiting some favorite places - San Miniato al Monte, Santa Croce and the Orsanmichele.

You can see a lot of Venice in a day, but you won't have much time for going into the museums or buildings.. When are you planning on being there? You can check http://en.venere.com/hotels_venice/# for hotels. They have an option for sorting by district within a city and by price. You can also check the surroundings of Venice for nearby hotels that would be cheaper - for instance in Jesolo

We recently got back from Italy and spent 2 days in Florence (3 nights). It's a really toursity city. While there we visited the Uffize gallery and the Accidemia (reservations required). Also the Duomo, the Palace, many churches, and went on a great haft day wine/olive oil tasting trip.

Venice was one of my favorite cities! You can see most things if you have a full day and you plan your time wisely.

Happy Travels!

Florence is small enough to walk around on foot. See the Domo, see David statue, see the old bridge. I would spend one day in Florence and two in Venice. I stayed at a nice hotel, Residensa (sp?) near St Marks.

hi, I live in rome since i was born, 27 years ago and i almost can't discover all the thing in rome yet..
(hope you can understand my english..)
this because italy, expecially rome, is all a monument
:)
However, 150 euro for a room is very expansive, the right price is about 60euro per night (single room) for a 3 star hotel.

This is my suggestion for hotel.
Go in hostel!
Quality is good and prices are affordable, i leave you a couple of links to reach for an hostel you can like
:)
this could help you to stay much more time!
:)

In Florence you can rent a bike (this is the usage) and have a ride through the monuments of the centre of th city
Santa Maria del Fiore e Santa Maria Novella are my favourite one, but you can visit the Giotto's Campanile, Palazzo vecchio (old palace) and don't forget to take a walk on the Ponte vecchio, where you can find many characteristic object to buy.
To have dinner (or lunch) you can go to some 'tavola calda' or 'birreria' something like a pub, where you can choose between a couple of dishes. Usually we haven't that kind of local in Italy, but Florence have
:)

For venice, you have to go on the Ponte dei sospiri ( whisper bridge) if you like history, please, try to remember that the bridge is not where two lovers go to whispered theyr love, but is the last thing, the dead men walking could see until too die.
So they often whispered to life.
Really sad, hai?
:)
Then Piazza San Marco (San marco square) and Murano e Burano for the glasses (but in only one day i think is really difficoult)
To eat don't choose restaurant near the centre of the city, because they are really really expansive (you can pay a coffe 2.50 euro, while in all part of italy is 0.70 cent) and the food is not so good.
try to take a walk in the undiscovered part of venice, i'm sure you will find a good restaurant
:)
well, this are all my suggestions
:)
hope it will be helpfull and hope you will enjoy your trip
:)
bye bye
