bearing in mind seasons in Italy are behind England though it is generally hot try to go for plenty of indoor places to avoid missing out. Also make use of metro trains.
Go to anywhere reccomended in guide books and search for a little restaurant across the road and up towards a park from the Colleseum. Its worth a visit though it may take a while to find. |

I went for the first time in November just gone and it blew me away. Lots and lots to see. Colosseum, Vatican city, Pantheon, Palatine, senate ruins, Trevi fountains, and on and on. Recommend you buy a guide book and get a handle on (i) the layout and (ii) what you'd most like to see on your trip, though you really are spoilt for choice. That way you can really make the best of your time. Careful of beggars and pick-pockets - though they're not really too much of a problem. You MUST try out Taverna Flavia on Via Flavia, the best restaurant ever. |
