Tuscany a nice place to honeymoon? |
Is Tuscany, Italy a nice place to honeymoon in November? What's the best activities? What's the weather like there around that time of year? I've never been over seas and I don't speak any Italian. (I'm in the U.S.). TY. Additional Details EDIT: Sorry, but could you please suggest a hotel? Most of the ones i've seen online seem like an "older crowd." Are there any where most young people, in their late 20s stay? |

I agree with the answerer above. Tuscany is beautiful even in autumn right after the vendange, its vinyard hills are swathed in yellow, red and green, usually under a grey sky. But November is also the month when its drizzles all day for a few days a week. That can be romantic too .. for those who love to cuddle on a rainy day.
Best actitivities:
- See Florence - the duomo, splendid museums, sunset view of the Arno river from Piazza di Michelangelo, florentine steak, opera shows
- Vinyard tour of the Chianti region. If driving up to Greve in Chianti is too daunting for you, the osterie and wineries in Montepulciano and San Gimignano occasionally offer food and wine degustation
- See Pisa, Siena and San Gimignano; good meat dishes in Arezzo |

Italy, and particularly Tuscany it's a fantastic place to honeymoon, with the color of the autumn. The best activities in Tuscany (as in the entire Italy), degustation of wine, visit city (like Florence, Rome the best in the world, Venice, Milan, Naples, and shopping.
The weather if you're fortunate, are still good, with a sunny day and good and don't hot temperature.
If you never been over seas you can take an airplane and fly to Milan or Rome international airport. And if you don't speak any italian (it's a fantastic languages...) don't worry. Also with a basic Italian we understand.
Good marriage |

Tuscany is a great place for a honeymoon anytime. There are some interesting events in November. The truffle festival in San Miniato is worth a visit. The old town, where the festival is, is a small hill town between Florence and Pisa. Lots of good food. We make a road trip from Emilia Romagna every year for at least one of the three weekends. http://www.sanminiatotartufo.it/inglese/homeing.htm The Festival dei Popoli in Florence is an interesting film festival. http://www.festivaldeipopoli.org/ The World Press Photo show will be in Lucca in November and December. If you're there in late November, there's a good Christmas market at Stazione Leopolda. and, of course, there are all the normal tourist attractions of Tuscany without the hordes of tourists that are here in the summer.
While it's true that you can run into rain, it isn't constant and there can be some very nice days. It's nice enough that the bike tours of Tuscany are still running. Whether you would consider it cold or not depends on where you are in the US. If you're coming from Miami, it might seem cold. If you're coming from Syracuse, NY, it's likely to seem warm. |

oh my god if I could go there that would be amazing. We went to the Grande Bahamian resort in the Bahamas - very swanky but god I love Tuscany!
Best activities - never been there but I would say a wine tour, sitting outside in cafes having espresso, *sigh..... |

I live in Tuscany, but I dot suggest to come here in November, exp for honeymoon, because of the weather very cold and raining.
Don't worry for the language, we use to have foreginers....
The best period to come here is in Spring time when you can appreciate hills and mountains - vist Chianti hills for tansting good wine- or in Summer to swim in our marvellous beaches.
Other activities could be riding horses, bikes, and eat well. |
