Vincent Van Goh, He cut off he ear because he was depressed that a woman had not loved him so he cut it off and sent it to her as a gift. Ew right. |

Vincent Van Gogh was a paranoid schizophrenic, and depressed, and also suffered from seizures. His lack of success in relationships was what finally caused him to commit suicide. After having cut off his ear, attempted to burn himself with a lamp, and poison himself by eating his oil paints at various times in his life, he finally shot himself in the chest. The gunshot didn't kill him, but a seizure two days later did. |

the artist was Vincent Van Gogh. He cut his ear off to give to his girlfriend "Ursala" as a reminder of him. He was on absinthe when he did it. The most fabulous artist that I know of-----poor Vincent died a poor man. His painting only sold after his death and Starry Starry Night sold at Christie's auction House for 45 million dollars. (isn't that unbelievable) |
