Want to elope to Rome,Italy in Sept. 2008...what is the cheapest way to do so? |
Can anyone give me advice on how to plan a civil ceremony without going through a wedding coordinator? Everyone I have checked out are too expensive. I would rather spend our money on tours and upgrades...not on the actual wedding. LOL...that is why we are eloping in the first place. Any advice from Italians would be very helpful..even on the actual honeymoon itself. Where to go, best tour groups, anything that will save me money and a headache! Thanks a million! |

If you're looking for cheap and are flexible about your dates, you might look into going to Rome a bit later, say October or early November.
Historically, flight prices have dropped off in mid-September, but in the last couple of years (perhaps because more and more people are getting wise to it), the flight price drop hasn't been happening until later in fall. |

you have to go in centre of Rome, but (you are not far) I suggest also Ischia, Capri...they are very romantic isles!
For lunch or dinner I suggest a chain, named "BREK": very cheap and you will eat very very well! |

It is very difficult to have a *legal* ceremony in another country, any other country. There are some pretty elaborate laws about this. I know a couple of people who have tried to do this and found that the residency requirements were too hard for them to meet. You might want to do a legal ceremony before you go, then do your ceremony there. Sorry that I can't help with people to contact, but I wanted to make sure you were aware that you can't just go to another country and have a legal ceremony. |
