Mrs P

We've not booked tickets for the Uffizi in advance, can we still visit?

I didn't realise you had to do it in advance, and we are in Florence in a couple of days. is there any other way to get tickets or should we just forget it this time? (didn't book for the accademia either!) :-(

You can buy the tickets when you're there. The lines can be over an hour long at the Uffizi itself. However, there's a small ticket booth on the back of the Orsanmichele that sells tickets to the museums including the Accademia, Uffizi, Bargello, ... . There is rarely anyone in line there and it's only a couple of blocks from the Uffizi. The ticket booth is on the right hand side of the street between the Duomo and Palazzo Vecchio as you walk toward Palazzo Vecchio. The building is the one with the statues in the niches. While you're there, go into the Orsanmichele - very nice frescos and a great tabernacle.

Hey don't worry... ^^

You can buy them directly in the museums, at the entrance... The problem is that the queue could be quite long (especially for Uffizi), so if I were you I'd go there early... Good Luck

Don't worry about it. You can still get in, It just means a potentially long wait in the queue. (Take a packed lunch if you do and go there as early as possible.)

I think that you can book tickets as late as the day before, but there may be a limited availability. Ask your hotel if they can book tickets for you. I don't know if you have to pay for them then or when you go to the Uffizi.

I don't recall the Academia having a queue when I was there so you should be able to get in quite easily. (Mind you it was nine years ago since I visited!)

Enjoy your visit and I hope that the weather is nice.

There is still time to book online - just search Uffizzi tickets... You can just turn up, but the queues may be very long, then you will have to decide whether you want to do it or not.

There is plenty to do in Florence without ever setting foot inside anywhere just about, so you could still have a lovely time anyway.

You can show up at the door and get tickets for a later time and/or date.

Yes you can but get there REALLY early, they start letting people in around 8.30 I think so get there like one hour earlier
