Vatican, Spanish Steps etc etc.You must go up to the top of the Vatican the view is great.
Eat just away from main squares. We found the restaurants in the main tourist sites were expensive so look at the ones tucked down the side streets they will be much cheaper.
We found a lovely one just off the Piazza Nervona.
If you sit down at a bar, they charge you extra so if you just want a quick drink stand at the bar.
Have a lovely time Rome is beautiful

Trevi fountain, Spanish Steps (the best glove slop in the world is there called Di Cori - worth a visit). I found the best pizza was from the take away stands. You'll love it. Avoid the horse and carts - they cost a fortune and smell bad.

taxi.....see everything...The Vatican..all the ancient sites...you will find 4 days is not long enough...and if you have a spare ticket..can i come too..Rome is my all time fav city to visit...enjoy

From Ciampino Airport take the bus Cotral/Schiaffini to Anagnina. In Anagnina take underground “A” line to Flaminio Station (full center), this is the chip way. You can take the bus-shuttle named Terrevision that goes from the airport to Termini Main Train Station.

Came back from Rome last week and had a fantastic time. You can get a taxi from the airport to the city but expect to pay between 40-50 Euros. I believe you can also get a bus to the centre for about 10 euros.

Make sure you go to the Vatican museum but remember to get there really early (8.30 if possible )as you have to queue for an hour to get in. It it not open on a Sunday and closes at 1.30 on a Saturday entrance fee is 13 euros. Also check out the Pantheon, it is free to get in and has some great restaurants around the square. It's a good place to eat and people watch. Also check out the Trevi fountain and the Forum again these are free.Loved the Colosseum , expect to pay 13 euros to get in but worth every penny. If you can try and climb the Vatican, again you have a long queue to get in , another 1 hour !! but the view from the top is amazing. And if you have time go to the Vatican on a Sunday as the Pope comes and gives a sermon, he's hard to spot as he seems so far away but it's another experience !!

Expect lot of tourists !! But that's all part of the fun. Enjoy your time there and expect to be amazed by the architecture xx

Ciampino airport to Rome Center is cheapest with something like this:
you take the bus to Ciampino train station(just follow the crowd from the airport) and then take the train to Rome Termini.

In Rome try the pizza from the pizzeria which is located just next to the Fontana di Trevi. This is not a restaurant but place where you can take away slice pizza. You can see them laying infront of you. You choose your pizza, they cut you a piece and give it to you on a piece of carton. Does not look fancy but tastes great. I am sorry but I cannot remember the name of the place.
