We are planning to visit Italy next spring. Is it best to avoid air travel around Easter time? |
Additional Details We understand Europeans have an Easter vacation so it may be difficult to get reservations then.

There's no reason to avoid air travel around Easter time, but you might want to avoid train travel, as the trains are very crowded then. |

the time of the year is nice, but crowded and more xepensive of course. There might be confusion with luggage, I got my luggage lost 3 times with one air line carrier Lufthansa, because of a lay over in Germany on my way to ITALY and on my way back, but except for that everything was great. |

Hi,
There are many peoples travelling to Italy during Easter, avel especially in Rome. Prices on acomodations are higher than usual but if you pre-book it's not difficult to find a hotel room.
If you don't have to travel during Easter I would suggest to mterake your trip 2 - 3 weeks after Easter.
Then it's getting warmer each rowdand the Easter crowds are gone.

Easter will be the 8th of April, remember that we have holiday also on 25th April and 1st May. If you travel between Easter and 25th April, Hotel or Accommodation will be less expensive and easy to find. If you travel during the Holidays could be difficult to find place to sleep without reservation in the most touristic places. Sorry for my English :) |
