I lived in Italy for a few years although i'm only 11. Visit Rome, Pompeii, and Florence. You definately won't regret it. It is more layed back there. People don't take laws as seriously but they are still followed especially in major cities. Eat everything on your plate. Since many of the people were in World War 2 and they lacked food, they love it when people it everything on their plate cause it shows that you care about starving people. LOL! Kinda weird but true. People are also a little bit pushier there. Stores usually open at 8 am then close at 2 then at 5 they reopen and around 9 or 10 they close for the day. That's because from 2-5 people sleep because they eat such a large lunch which makes them tired. Some stores even close at 1.
Have fun!!!!!
P.S I'm going to italy too this summer! we go every year. Where are you staying in Italy?

EVERYTHING!!! The people are fantastic - drivers are totally insane, the food is out of this world and there is so much to see and do it's hard keeping up with yourself!!! We are going this summer for our 4th visit in 8 years - taking our twins back to Garda (where they were made!!).

Hope you have a great time - just chill and enjoy the experience - think about it later 'cos you won't have time while you're there!!!

It's interesting reading what people thinks about my country, even the crazy things! I love (and miss) the art and the history you can breath everywhere in the country. Enjoy your staying!

well, i live in italy and i think it is fabulous! roma, my hometown, is my favorite city. we drive like maniacs and it's totally normal. the food will be the best you have ever had. the people will also be the best-looking you have ever seen. :)
we have all the best here: food, wine, art, clubs, culture, people, history, beaches, language, and FOOTBALL [SOCCER] TEAM.
have fun! CIAO!
