Piazza San Marco, Ponte Vecchio, Ca' d'oro, of course, but the greatest attraction is Venice itself. Wander and loose yourself around in the little passages off the beaten tracks, it's always wanderful.

(bring with you very, very, very comfortable shoes)

Venezia is amazing in it's entirety. Honestly though, just going to the tourist attractions will ruin your stay a little. Try staying in a smaller, more local hotel. The first time I was there we stayed in a large, very fancy hotel and did nothing but the main tourist attractions, and I didn't care for it much. The second time we stayed in a smaller hotel in a more local part of Venice and I loved it!. I found a little deli where all the locals eat, it's extremely cheap and has the biggest selection of italian foods i've seen and it was delicious. If you enter the Piazza San Marco from the museum side, walk towards San Marco Basilica and take a left down the first street. Take an immediate right on the second street you see and then another immediate left by the mcdonalds. Keep going down that until you come to the Piazza in front of the Rialto Bridge (I also forgot the name) it's hidden in a little alleyway but it's hard to miss as it is usually packed with locals during the day.

Anyway back to your question. Good Sites are the Palazzo next to San Marco Basilica, San Marco Basilica itself, Piazza San Marco, the C'a D'oro, the teatro, Rialto Bridge, and many of the hidden piazzas.

its a walking city, quite and very traditional. the smell and the high tide are a pro sometimes but i am sure a turist can enjoy them 2 lol. anyway i consider this city is a museum.
ps i live here
