I was there last January and it was 11 euro to get in, there is just one entrance and that lets you get to all the accessible areas, it is really amazing in there. Also a couple of blocks behind it is a great cafe with great salads, wine and pasta, and really funny and nice waiters, we have pictures with the chef and waiters. It's called Trattoria Luzzi, I have the business card still the address is Via S. Giovanni in Laterano, 88-Via Celimontana, it was full of Romans and not touristy at all, and absolutely delicious. Close to the Colosseum too |

I was there last month, and it cost €11 for adults, but I'm not sure if there is discounts for children, seniors, etc. |

I can't remember exactly but its cheap... like 15-16 euros I'd say (each) being the highest you would have to pay. This is if you go in by yourself by the way. You have to queue but it doesn't take all that long. If you go on a guided tour with one of the reps that approach you I'm not sure how much that would cost. I imagine a little more, although you do get to go through with them I think and so not queue and at least you are getting a little more of an historical insight into the building. There are also gladiators that stand outside of the building. They charge you for a photo. Oh and beware of the metallic painted men that stay perfectly still. One guy hooked me with his stick got my fella to take a picture and made me pay! Not much but still it was a little cheeky! Haha. Hope this helps! |
