Top Rome Attractions:
Colosseum (Colosseo)
Pantheon
Roman Forum (Foro Romano)
Trevi Fountain (Fontana di Trevi)
Borghese Gallery (Galleria Borghese)
Piazza Navona
Trastevere
Vatican Museums
Campo de' Fiori
Capitoline Museum (Museo Capitolino)

You must see these...

--Roman Forum, Colloseo, and Vittorio Emanuele are all next to each other.

--Trevi Fountain, just north of vittorio emanuele.

--Piazza Di Spagna and Spanish Steps (both trevi fountain and spanish steps are reall cool in the early evening).

--Vatican museum, Sistine Chapel, San Pietro.

There is so much to see in Rome, but if you have limited time there, those are the big things you cant miss.

You absolutely must see the Coliseum. Is the Pantheon in Rome? I can't remember. If so, you've got to see that as well.

constant traveler

The basics of Rome can be done in a day but to give them the credit they deserve you need at least 3! lol

The Roman Forum
The Colluseum
St Peters Basilica and the Vatican (you can't leave without seeing the Sistine Chapel)
And you MUST visit the Trevi Fountain, turn your back towards it and throw a coin in over your shoulder - it guarantees that you will return to Rome!

Archaeological sites: markets of Trajan, coliseum etc .Baroque Rome not to far from there and do not miss the Vatican City and museums, it is a must!
